Preview Arrow season 2, episode 20, “Seeing Red,” with the episode synopsis, promotional stills, and trailer.
Previously, Oliver and Slade came face to face for the first time since the island. Slade swore to uphold a promise he made to Oliver five years ago: “You cannot die until you have suffered the same way I have suffered. Until you have known complete despair. And you will.”
Slade tore apart Oliver and Thea’s relationship by revealing to her that Malcolm Merlyn is her father. He attempted to do the same with Oliver and Laurel by telling Laurel that Oliver is the Arrow; however, she eventually accepted it and decided to keep his secret.
Meanwhile, Isabel Rochev revealed that she and Robert Queen were once lovers. And, after Isabel was shot by Diggle, Slade revived her with a dose of Mirakuru while also supercharging his own army. Oliver, though, stole a vial of Mirakuru in the hope of synthesizing a cure.
The official synopsis for Arrow season 2, episode 20, “Seeing Red,” reads:
ROY SPINS OUT OF CONTROL — The mirakuru sends Roy (Colton Haynes) into an uncontrollable rage and he unleashes on the city. After Roy’s deadly fight with a police officer, Oliver (Stephen Amell) realizes the mirakuru has taken over Roy completely and must figure out a way to stop him. Things get more complicated after Sara (Caity Lotz) declares that Roy is too far gone and the only way to stop him is to kill him. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) believes she can breakthrough to Roy so she goes on camera at Moira’s (Susanna Thompson) campaign rally to lure him to Verdant. Her ploy works but after Roy attacks Thea, Team Arrow unleashes on him. Doug Aarniokoski directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Beth Schwartz (#220).
Meanwhile, a batch of promotional stills shows Moira Queen’s campaign rally and Team Arrow facing off against Roy.

What could be the one thing to make matters worse for the characters on “Arrow” than they were already? How about an appearance from one of the show’s most-notorious villains ever? While Malcolm Merlyn may not be the Big Bad this season, he clearly still has a role to play that will be unraveled…
Did you enjoy “The Man Behind the Hood”? It was a particularly notable episode of “Arrow” for many reasons, in between Laurel realizing not to tell Oliver about what she has figured out about his alter ego and Isabel Rochev becoming the first female character injected with the mirakuru. So…
